Support for M2 Pro & M2 Ultra

DisplayBuddy now supports the new Macbook Pros with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips!

Hello from DisplayBuddy!

We just a shipped a major new update to DisplayBuddy (v1.36) with two highly requested features:

  • 💻 Support for the newly released Macbook Pros & Mac Mini (with the shiny new M2 Pro and M2 Max chips)

  • ⚡️ DDC support on the HDMI port of M2 macs - that means direct control of brightness and contrast including support for switching display inputs for monitors connected via HDMI to M2 / M2 Pro / M2 Max based Macs.

DisplayBuddy has gone through 26 updates (!) since our last post in Aug 2021, so here’s a recap of the features that shipped in some of the previous updates:

  • ⌨️ Do more with your Keyboard: Use volume keys on your keyboard to control volume of external displays, and set custom keyboard shortcuts to directly activate your presets!

  • ⭐️ “Hey Siri, set all displays to 100% brightness”: Support for Siri, and Mac Shortcuts.

  • 🤩 New look: Cleaner look for all menus in DisplayBuddy with beautiful icons and support for macOS Ventura.

  • 🕹️ Advanced Controls: Control display resolution, and even turn off displays directly from DisplayBuddy.

  • 🍎 Support for more Apple displays (Pro Display XDR, Apple Studio Display, and Apple LED Cinema Display).

Apart from the new features, DisplayBuddy also added Team (upto 5 Macs) and Company licenses (upto 10 Macs) so you can use DisplayBuddy across all of your Macs!
