DisplayBuddy 3 is a major feature update with a refreshed look of core features, as well as a feature you've all asked for automating your settings: Schedules.

• You can now choose if your keyboard shorcuts control all displays at once, or the active display (display with the mouse cursor currently on it). To switch, go to Settings > Keyboard Shortcuts > Select the desired Keyboard Control Mode.

UltraBright:

• Take full advantage of your Macbook screen by unlocking it's full 1600 nits of brightness! - perfect for when you're working outdoors. Just use your keyboard brightness keys as normal and you'll see a beautiful new UltraBright brightness indicator when you go beyond 100%.
• You can also tweak the UltraBright slider directly in DisplayBuddy - it'll automatically show up when your built-in display's brightness is at 100%.

Samsung Smart Monitor Control:

• Finally the most requested feature: Control the real volume, power, input source and more of modern Samsung Smart Monitors like the Samsung M5, M7, M8 and the ViewFinity S9.
• DisplayBuddy offers a full remote control for these Smart Monitors right from the menu bar.
• One Time Setup: Just do a one-time setup for smart monitors by clicking Setup Smart Monitor under your monitor's sliders in DisplayBuddy.

DisplayBuddy 2

DisplayBuddy 2.0 is a complete redesign of DisplayBuddy built from the ground up that feels right at home on modern macOS. You can read the full announcement on our blog.

• Each display gets its own little space and the controls are nicely tucked away till you need them. You can expand to show more sliders for your monitors, and advanced controls like input source and power off are just a single click away.
• Beautiful little icons respond to your clicks while making it easier to find the controls you're looking for.
• Presets - which lets you save settings across multiple monitors and restore them later with a single click are now front and center, and are easier to create as well as use.
• Sync also has a refreshed interface that easily lets you select which display should be followed by others, also displaying helpful labels when needed most.
• There's a lot more improvements under the hood - with new features like the highly requested Mute button support, selecting HiDPI resolutions, better keyboard handling, and much more to make the app smoother and faster.

The new app forms the foundation of the next wave of features on the Mac - a complete overhaul to Presets (like adding input source, rotation and resolution), improved troubleshooting within the app, and a few pleasant surprises along the way.
